Founded in 1926 (August 1, Taisho 15) as Nishimura Electric Manufacturing Workshop in Tokyo's Bunkyo-ku, the company was reorganized and incorporated as Nishimura Electric Co., Ltd. on March 25, 1939 (Showa 14).
