SAN-EI Air Motor
Air Motor Product Series & Models
SAN-EI manufactures multiple types of pneumatic air motors, designed to operate using compressed air. These motors are widely used in industrial environments where electrical motors are not suitable, such as explosive atmospheres, high-temperature environments, or areas requiring continuous operation.
Air motors offer several advantages:
-
Operable in hazardous environments such as explosive gas or dust areas
-
Self-cooling effect due to compressed air expansion
-
Easy speed control using regulators or throttle valves
-
Safe under overload conditions (motor slows or stops without burning)
-
Smooth start, stop, and reverse operation
-
Lightweight and compact design
1 Air Motor Product Types
SAN-EI air motors are mainly divided into three major structural types:
-
Rotary vane air motor
-
Radial piston air motor
-
Gear turbine air motor
Each type is designed for different speed, torque, and industrial applications.
2 Rotary Vane Air Motor
VF Series – Rotary Vane Type
The VF series is the most widely used air motor with a simple structure and high rotational speed. It uses a rotor with sliding vanes inside an eccentric casing. Compressed air pushes the vanes to rotate the rotor.
Main Features
-
Compact and lightweight
-
Suitable for medium-to-high speed operation
-
Widely used in general industrial equipment
-
Simple and reliable structure
