The MAEDA KOKI FITV is a manifold-type flow indicator that distributes liquid to multiple branch lines and allows each branch to be checked visually. Each transparent tapered tube contains a ball, and each branch has its own manual flow-control valve. This arrangement brings distribution, local flow observation and branch adjustment together in one assembly.

Branch distribution and local adjustment
FITV assemblies can be manufactured with 2 to 14 branches. Fluid enters the holder and is distributed to the branch pipes. The operator adjusts each valve while observing the ball position against the red reference line on the tapered tube. This supports setting the required distribution across the branches. The valves are adjusted manually; this description does not establish automatic flow balancing or a closed-loop control function.

Oil flow range and fluid conditions
The stated adjustable range per branch is approximately 100 cc/min to 3.6 L/min for oil. The lower value is equivalent to 0.1 L/min. This is a selection range for the branch construction, rather than a guaranteed measurement accuracy. Specify the actual oil, viscosity and service temperature when selecting the unit. The documentation groups FITV with OIL SIGNAL and WATER SIGNAL products, but the quoted flow range is explicitly identified for oil; confirm the required range separately for water or another liquid.
Choosing the number of branches
Although the available branch count is 2–14, the usable number can be limited by the required flow. Select the branch count together with the minimum, normal and maximum flow of each outlet. Ask for confirmation when the required per-branch flow is outside the stated range. Do not assume that all branches can operate at the maximum quoted flow simultaneously without a configuration review.
Materials and construction
| Component | Material |
|---|---|
| Holder | FC20 |
| Fittings | C3604 |
| Transparent tapered tube | Acrylic |
| Ball | SUJ or nylon |
| Adapter | C3604 |
| O-ring | Nitrile rubber in the standard web specification |
| Spring | SUS304 |
| Communicating pipe | C3604 |
| Flow-control valve | BC |
Transparent tube and valve construction
The acrylic tapered tube allows the ball position to be observed locally. The construction combines C3604 fittings, adapters and communicating pipes with an SUS304 spring. The ball material is SUJ or nylon, depending on the selected construction. The flow-control valve is specified as BC. Confirm compatibility of the actual fluid, additives and cleaning agents with the acrylic tube, seals and metal parts before specifying the assembly.
Connections and holder inlet options
The listed tube connection choices are φ6, φ8 and φ10. Threaded branch choices are R1/8, R1/4 and R3/8 for male connections, and Rc1/8, Rc1/4 and Rc3/8 for female connections. The drawing explains that the standard threaded arrangement uses male threads and that a socket is fitted for an Rc female connection. Keep the complete connection designation in the order. Holders with Rc3/4 or Rc1 inlets can also be made; these changes may require a different designation. A locknut-equipped control valve is available on request.
Ordering example: 8FITV-Rc1/8
The published example is 8FITV-Rc1/8, with a flow of 1 L/min per branch and ISO VG32 oil. It identifies an eight-branch assembly and the Rc1/8 connection requirement. The oil grade and per-branch flow are part of the specification and should accompany the model designation. FITV is configured to the application; a list of invented fixed stock codes would not describe the actual ordering requirements.
Information required for a quotation
| Ordering item | Information to specify |
|---|---|
| Branch count | Required number from 2 to 14 |
| Connection method | Tube diameter or complete R/Rc thread designation |
| Fluid | Actual liquid and oil grade where applicable |
| Viscosity | Oil viscosity in cSt, with relevant temperature |
| Flow for each branch | Minimum, normal and maximum flow |
| Service conditions | Pressure and temperature |
| Special requirements | Larger inlet, valve locknut and installation clearances |

Drawing dimensions and installation planning
| Dimension | Drawing value / interpretation |
|---|---|
| Branch spacing | 30 mm |
| Overall manifold length L | 30 × (N + 1) mm; N is the number of branches |
| Illustrated overall assembly height | Approximately 191 mm |
| Illustrated side width | 40 mm |
| Illustrated holder inlet | Rc1/2 |
| Mounting holes | Four φ9 through-holes in the illustrated arrangement |
| Drawing application | Confirm mounting-hole positions and final configuration before installation |
The drawing gives a 30 mm branch pitch and the relation L = 30 × (N + 1), where N is the branch count. For example, this gives a nominal 270 mm manifold length for eight branches. The approximately 191 mm height and illustrated inlet and mounting arrangement refer to the documented assembly. Treat these as planning dimensions and confirm the final drawing for the selected branch count, connections and optional inlet. Leave access for valve adjustment, pipe installation and viewing each transparent tube.
Pressure, temperature and operation
The standard construction lists heat resistance of 80°C and pressure resistance of 0.8 MPa. Check these ratings against the complete installation and selected configuration, including start-up conditions and the fluid temperature. Adjust the branch valves while watching the corresponding ball and reference line. The visual indication should remain readable during operation; where numerical flow accuracy, electrical alarms or automatic regulation are required, specify those functions separately.
Configuration review
Before ordering, confirm the branch count, the connection of every branch, the fluid and its viscosity, and each branch’s minimum, normal and maximum flow. Include inlet size, service pressure, temperature, valve locknut requirements and the required installation envelope. This information allows the flow indicator and distribution manifold to be selected as one coordinated assembly.
