SUNTES TV-DW torque releasers use a cassette shear-pin configuration to automatically release the drive when an overload occurs in the shaft system. The range includes TV30DW, TV40DW, TV60DW, TV70DW, TV80DW, TV95DW, TV110DW, TV120DW and TV160DW. Typical applications include presses, kneading machines and plastic-moulding machinery.
Shear-pin overload protection
The TV family is identified as a shear-pin type. Its overload-release arrangement must be selected for the intended machine duty and torque level. Automatic release describes the response to an overload and must not be confused with the automatic-reset behaviour of the TX family. Confirm the cassette-pin specification and the required restoration procedure for the exact TV model before commissioning or servicing the drive.
Speed and torque ratings
Every model in the listed specification table has a maximum speed of 100 min⁻¹. Maximum torque increases from 500 N·m for TV30DW to 35,000 N·m for TV160DW. Intermediate values are 1,000, 1,500, 2,000, 4,000, 8,000, 15,000 and 20,000 N·m for TV40DW through TV120DW respectively. These maximum figures define model-specific limits; the required release condition and pin arrangement must be confirmed for the application.
Dimensions and mass
The drawing and table identify D0 through D4, L1 through L4, the pitch-circle diameter and the N-d mounting callout. These values must be checked together with the shaft and mating component geometry. Product mass ranges from 4.5 kg for TV30DW to 186 kg for TV160DW, with separate values for each intermediate model. Include the selected assembly in support, handling and maintenance-access planning. Do not infer interchangeability from a shared bolt size or a similar shaft dimension.
Application and order review
Provide the complete TV-DW model, operating speed, normal and overload torque requirements, machine type, shaft dimensions and mounting arrangement. Include the load cycle and any startup torque peaks that affect the intended protection setting. Use the correct cassette pin and current dimensional drawing for the chosen unit. After a release, investigate the overload before restoring service and follow the applicable maintenance procedure. Confirm the application-specific setting and current specifications before manufacturing mating parts or ordering replacement components.
Dimensions and specifications
Use the lettered dimensions with the corresponding drawing. Torque is stated in N·m, speed in min⁻¹, and mass in kg where indicated. Fit tolerances, drawing symbols, grouped rows and blank entries are retained. A blank entry is not zero.
