MKCTV AIR SIGNAL combines a protective BC gunmetal cover, transparent tapered tube and manual flow-control valve. This permits local observation and manual adjustment of gas delivery in one assembly. The three TA models list maximum flows of 150, 150 and 200 L/min, with a 51 mm overall depth in the dedicated AIR SIGNAL drawing.

| Mounting orientation | Upward, downward or sideways; follow the intended flow direction |
| Transparent tube | Acrylic |
| Fittings | C3604 brass |
| Spring | SUS304 |
| Ball | Nylon 66; cylindrical float may be used depending on specification |
| O-ring | Nitrile rubber |
| Protective cover | BC gunmetal |
| Control valve | BC; manual flow adjustment |
| Standard inlet | R male |
| Standard outlet | Rc female |
Approximate indication and manual regulation
Gas passing through the transparent tapered tube displaces the internal ball or float. Its position relative to the reference indication supports approximate flow checking. The integrated needle valve lets the operator adjust delivery while watching the indication. This combines local observation and manual regulation; it does not create automatic closed-loop flow control.
Complete models, dimensions and flow data
| Model | Inlet | Outlet | Length (mm) | Width (mm) | Depth (mm) | Maximum flow (L/min) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| MKCTV20-1TA | R1/8 | Rc1/8 | 115 | 30 | 51 | 150 |
| MKCTV20-2TA | R1/4 | Rc1/4 | 115 | 30 | 51 | 150 |
| MKCTV20-3TA | R3/8 | Rc3/8 | 122 | 30 | 51 | 200 |
Dimensions are in millimetres and the flow unit is retained as L/min. Select the complete gas-model designation, connection size and required installation envelope together. A matching thread size alone does not make different TA, TFA or TAR constructions interchangeable.
The protective cover is a casting, so overall dimensions at the casting surface can show individual variation. Check the detailed installation drawing and surrounding clearance before specifying a mounting arrangement.
Overall depth and valve connections
The dedicated AIR SIGNAL product drawing lists 51 mm depth for MKCTV20-1TA, MKCTV20-2TA and MKCTV20-3TA. The dimensional table above follows that drawing. Allow for the full valve assembly rather than using the smaller sensing-body dimension. The standard valve-side inlet is R male and the standard outlet is Rc female. An alternative R male outlet or a locknut-equipped valve can be specified when required.
Alternative threaded ordering examples
| Published alternative connection example | Arrangement |
|---|---|
| MKCTV20-3TOA | R male outlet option; valve-side inlet remains R male |
These codes are examples of alternative threaded arrangements. Confirm the installed dimensions and availability of the requested fitting configuration rather than transferring the standard model dimensions automatically.
Gas conditions and interpretation of flow data
Specify the gas, normal flow, operating pressure and temperature when selecting the device. Gas density depends on those conditions, so the pressure-resistance limit must not be treated as a flow-calibration reference pressure. The values here are reproduced in L/min without conversion to normal or standard litres per minute. Confirm the applicable reference conditions and unit basis for the intended installation before comparing them with another instrument or a normalized-flow requirement.
Materials and installation checks
The standard assembly uses an acrylic tube, C3604 brass fittings, SUS304 spring, Nylon 66 ball and nitrile-rubber O-ring; a cylindrical float may be used for some specifications. Match the materials to the actual gas and service conditions. The spring-supported design permits upward, downward or sideways mounting, while the inlet and outlet must still follow the intended flow direction. Keep the tube accessible for observation and leave room to reach the valve knob. Check the fittings and tube for leakage or damage during commissioning. The standard maximum temperature is 80°C and pressure resistance is 1 MPa.
