MKT AIR SIGNAL indicators use a transparent tapered tube and moving ball or float to provide an approximate indication of gas flow. Standard ball models and low-flow float models are separate selections. The MKT25 TA group lists 50–200 L/min, MKT30 TA lists 100–400 L/min, and the MKT25 TFA float group lists 1–10 L/min.

Approximate indication
Gas passing through the transparent tapered tube displaces the internal ball or float. Its position relative to the reference indication supports approximate flow checking. Select by the appropriate model-specific flow values and required connection. A listed flow range or maximum does not establish a measuring accuracy.
TA ball models and low-flow TFA models
The six TA rows describe the standard ball construction. The three TFA rows describe a low-flow float arrangement with a standard range of 1–10 L/min. Although the MKT25 TA and TFA housings share listed dimensions, their internal selection and flow ranges differ. Keep the F in the TFA order code when a low-flow unit is required.
Standard ball models — TA
| Model | Port | Length (mm) | Width (mm) | Standard flow (L/min) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| MKT25-1TA | Rc1/8 | 78 | 25 | 50 to 200 |
| MKT25-2TA | Rc1/4 | 78 | 25 | 50 to 200 |
| MKT25-3TA | Rc3/8 | 84 | 25 | 50 to 200 |
| MKT30-2TA | Rc1/4 | 100 | 30 | 100 to 400 |
| MKT30-3TA | Rc3/8 | 104 | 30 | 100 to 400 |
| MKT30-4TA | Rc1/2 | 110 | 30 | 100 to 400 |
Low-flow float models — TFA
| Model | Port | Length (mm) | Width (mm) | Standard flow (L/min) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| MKT25-1TFA | Rc1/8 | 78 | 25 | 1 to 10 |
| MKT25-2TFA | Rc1/4 | 78 | 25 | 1 to 10 |
| MKT25-3TFA | Rc3/8 | 84 | 25 | 1 to 10 |
Dimensions are in millimetres and the flow unit is retained as L/min. Select the complete gas-model designation, connection size and required installation envelope together. A matching thread size alone does not make different TA, TFA or TAR constructions interchangeable.
Alternative threaded ordering examples
| Published alternative connection example | Arrangement |
|---|---|
| MKT25-3TOA | R male at both ends |
| MKT25-3TOMA | R male inlet |
| MKT25-3TMOA | R male outlet |
These codes are examples of alternative threaded arrangements. Confirm the installed dimensions and availability of the requested fitting configuration rather than transferring the standard model dimensions automatically.
Gas conditions and interpretation of flow data
Specify the gas, normal flow, operating pressure and temperature when selecting the device. Gas density depends on those conditions, so the pressure-resistance limit must not be treated as a flow-calibration reference pressure. The values here are reproduced in L/min without conversion to normal or standard litres per minute. Confirm the applicable reference conditions and unit basis for the intended installation before comparing them with another instrument or a normalized-flow requirement.
Materials and installation checks
The standard assembly uses an acrylic tube, C3604 brass fittings, SUS304 spring, Nylon 66 ball and nitrile-rubber O-ring; a cylindrical float may be used for some specifications. Match the materials to the actual gas and service conditions. The spring-supported design permits upward, downward or sideways mounting, while the inlet and outlet must still follow the intended flow direction. Keep the tube accessible for observation. Check the fittings and tube for leakage or damage during commissioning. The standard maximum temperature is 80°C and pressure resistance is 1 MPa.
